OUR STORY

In 2016, Actor and Director Jake C Young sometimes credited as "Jake Eastwood" is one of very few actors which have had such a career as diverse. In early years, Young was credited by the stage name "Jake Eastwood" as an alias, due to being a relative to well established Actor/Director, Clint Eastwood. Along with his uncanny resemblance, under the recommendation of his manager, he adapted the Eastwood name. 

MTS Pictures was founded in Southern KY as a result of Mr. Young leaving Hollywood to create a film as an independent in his hometown in 2016 after a short round of student films and drama's a relaunch of MTS Pictures was made with adding the name HT Films. HT specializes in a niche in the sci-fi horror genre. Jake faced many adversities as an outsider with a passion for storytelling, his ultimate vision was to create a safe space for creatives without having to fight the back lash of the Hollywood struggles.

In 2022 MTS Pictures, joined forces to release a line of indie horror film such as "A Night of the Undead" originally titled "A Night of the Living Dead". The letters MTS originally stood as "Mountain Top Studios" but was later shortened due to the legenthy nature and difficulty fitting title cards. MTS Pictures now works a head film studio in Southern KY, producing content and helping independent filmmakers find resources, funding, talent, and opportunities in their area.We take pride in being an independent studio rather than following the strict "Hollywood style" of entertainment.

HT FILMS

In 2022 an extension of MTS Pictures was created as HT Films. “HT” (Hometown Films) was comprised when Young and a former associate decided to develop a more home based style of filmmaking in the community of their home town-hints the name- Somerset, KY. More importantly a base of operations located in Southern KY with a horror/ thriller based genre in content whereas MTS Pictures is more focused on a wider range of subjects. Together MTS Pictures/ HT films are a full service production company with an extensive portfolio of independent films.
