On Sunday, January 11, 2026 MTS pictures released an open casting call to the public for the upcoming project titled: “Heartfrozen”.
The project is the first on the slate of the 2026 season after MTS pictures successfully produced Souls Chapel in 2025, which will be available to the public for streaming in April 2026.
The official synopsis:
"A psychology professor and her family move into an old campus home once occupied by a cryogenic scientist who linked her brain to the house’s electrical system. As the house grows aware, the professor must fight to save her family from becoming part of the machine’s consciousness."
Production is is set to begin between April and March of this year. Little beyond the official synopsis is known yet about the production, cast, crew or budget. Directior Jake C. Young has issued the following statement:
"The only way I know to describe this would be like Stranger Things meets The Shining, which are two of my favorite pieces of art. We're hoping for cast announcements soon that will blow people's socks off."
