MTS Pictures to launch new genre of film: "Southern Horror"
MTS Pictures founder, Jake C. Young, along with other team members, stated earlier this week that they would officially be launching a new genre in film. Southern Horror will primarily focus on the horror genre with a sub-genre of western/southern culture. Young, commonly known for his roles in the western genre of filmmaking, stated that he felt “This would be a great fit”. MTS Pictures has crafted multiple horror films, as well as suspense thrillers, over the last 10 years.
"It's my goal to blend spine-tingling thrillers and mind-bending horror with a southern Nashville/bluegrass Kentucky vibe. It's where I'm from, and it's what I know. If television has shown us anything, it's that people love a good western like Yellowstone or Landman. You mix something like Nightmare on Elm Street or The Haunting of Hill House with that, and you've got an absolute masterpiece. I'm hoping this will spark a new ideology of filmmaking for years to come."

As the current and legal license/copyright holders, MTS Pictures will officially be grafting past films, such as The Dark Room and Daylight to Dark, into this new sub-genre of film, as well as the upcoming anticipated horror film, Souls Chapel.
