HEARTFROZEN Sets August 28 Date for First Official Teaser
The first official look at HEARTFROZEN is almost here.
A newly released promotional image has confirmed that the upcoming psychological horror film will debut its official teaser on August 28, 2026, offering audiences their first real glimpse into the unsettling world director Jake C. Young has been building behind the scenes.
The announcement is appropriately restrained. Emerging from a dark, cold blue haze, the HEARTFROZEN title dominates the image alongside a simple message: OFFICIAL TEASER — 08.28.2026. No characters. No plot details. No explanation.
And for a film built around mystery, that may be exactly the point.
Something Cold Is Coming
HEARTFROZEN has been steadily developing an identity rooted in psychological horror rather than traditional jump scares, with the story centering on Dr. Jessica Hart and her family as they move into a campus home with a disturbing connection to its previous occupant and his experiments.
What begins as an ordinary relocation gradually gives way to something far more sinister as the house—and the technology inside it—appears to have a connection to events that should have remained buried.
The project looks to blend supernatural horror, psychological tension and science-fiction elements into a story where the threat isn’t necessarily something hiding inside the house.
It may be the house itself.
That premise alone has made HEARTFROZEN one of the more intriguing projects to emerge from Young’s recent slate, but much of the film has deliberately remained under wraps throughout production and post-production.
August 28 should finally change that.
The First Real Look at HEARTFROZEN
While still images and production updates have offered small glimpses of the movie’s atmosphere, the upcoming teaser will mark the first opportunity for audiences to see the film’s cinematography, performances, sound design and increasingly ominous tone working together.
Young has previously leaned into atmosphere and location-driven storytelling with his independent horror work, and HEARTFROZEN appears to be pushing even further into that territory.
The latest artwork certainly isn’t interested in revealing much.
Instead, the empty darkness surrounding the title creates the feeling that something is waiting just beyond what we can see.
Whether the teaser answers any questions remains to be seen.
It will probably create a few more.

With post-production moving toward completion, the release of the first teaser represents an important milestone for HEARTFROZEN as the film begins moving from production into its public rollout.
